Products

Who makes these products?
All of our Kara Kawa products are handmade in small batches by Kara, in Tasman New Zealand.
What is the shelf life of your products?
The shelf life of Kara Kawa products varies from product to product.
The minimum shelf life is 8 months.
All products have the Best Before date stamped on them.
Remember to store our products out of direct sunlight and in a cool dark place.
Is your packaging recyclable?
Yes, All of our packaging and tubs are recyclable.
Please remember to remove the lids and clean your tubs before putting them in the recycle bin.
Do you have a shop?
We currently don’t have a shop, but you are more than welcome to make an appointment to see me, simply send me a message via the Contact Us page.

Ordering

What payment types do you take?

We accept the following payment types:
Credit Card, Debit Card, Bank Deposit, LayBuy, and afterpay.

I don’t have a credit card, can I pay with internet banking?

Yes you can, just choose Direct bank transfer in the payment options during checkout.

How do I change my password?
To change your password go to your account, the My account tab at the top of the page.
Under Account details, there is a section for you to change your password.
I have forgotten my password, how do I reset it?
Go to the My account page.
Under the login section click: Lost your password?
Enter the email address that you use to log in to our website.
Click Reset password.
Head over to your emails, you should have received a password reset email from us.
Follow the instructions in this email.

Shipping

How quickly can you ship my order?

For same-day shipping we need to receive your order:

  • Before 10 am Monday – Friday.

Orders received after these times will be shipped the following business day.
Orders received between 10 am Friday and 10 am Monday will be shipped on the Monday.
We don’t ship weekends or public holidays.

How long does shipping take?
2-5 working days for New Zealand.
3-10 working days for Australia.
Please note that these delivery times are a guide only.
Delivery to rural and remote areas may take longer.
How much does shipping cost?

We offer Free Tracked Courier Shipping on all orders over $60.
Tracked Courier Shipping $7.00
Rural Tracked Courier Shipping $10.00
Australia Tracked Shipping $25.00
All prices are in NZD.

I haven’t received tracking details for my order, where can I find this?
Once your order has been booked on the courier we will send you an email with your tracking details.
Sometimes these emails end up in your spam folder. Please check here first.
If you cannot find your tracking number, please do not hesitate to Contact Us.
How do you package orders?
Our orders are all packaged using 100% recyclable materials.
We use r3pack compostable courier bags.
All products are wrapped in shredded cardboard – instead of bubble wrap.
Recyclable kraft wrapping paper and we use recyclable paper tape.
Gift boxes are packed with recycled shredded paper.

Returns

I bought the wrong product, can I return it?
If you have purchased the wrong product and would like to exchange it.
Please contact us and we can help you.
To be eligible for a return/refund the item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.

Wholesale

Do you offer wholesale pricing?

Yes, I offer a discounted wholesale price for order quantities of 10 units and over.

Can I rebrand your products?
No!
You can in no way change our branding or repackage our products to sell.
How do I become a wholesale customer?
To become a wholesale customer, please fill in the Wholesale Enquiry Form.
And I will be in contact with you shortly.
I want to sell your products in my shop, but can’t afford to purchase them outright, can you help?
